A Photo Tour Through the Incredible China Countryside
Steep cliffs rise to meet the morning sky, surrounded by farming communities and bamboo groves. The Li River winds through the countryside of China, inspiring poet and artist alike to attempt to capture the atmospheric beauty that surrounds. This is where our photo tour begins, in Guilin, a town surrounded by the beauty of the natural world. Experience the culture & beauty of China on this photo adventure workshop.
Rice terraces built into the side of mountains, decorate the vista as far as you can see. The mountain village of Longi provides a retreat from the hurried life and the time to capture the breath of air resting upon these stunning landscaped mountains.
Set sail down the Li River out of Yangshuo. Around each unfolding bend of the river, behold the cliffs reaching out to take hold of beautifully colored skies that surround. The air is thick with the fragrant aroma of Osmanthus, something likened to the scent of apricot and black tea. The misty mountains tell of tales of old, while ancient villages house the genuinely beautiful people of this land. Clearly, this is one of the most stunning places in the world.
Begin your day in Xi’an riding bikes along the ancient city wall or enjoy a traditional ride by rickshaw. The blending of ancient poised beautifully in the foreground with modernity hovering in the background paints quite the picture of values that are treasured here. Behold one of the most extraordinary archaeological finds of the 20th century, considered to be the 8th Wonder of the World, the terracotta warriors of Qin Shi Huang, China’s first emperor. The massive amount of artistry and sheer numbers are unbelievable, it simply needs to be seen to be believed. Strolling along the Great Wall of China and visiting the Forbidden City are treasured moments not to be missed in this lifetime.
On this unique photo tour you’ll encounter the ancient beauty of a civilization that values age and its heritage. This tour of China is perfect for photographer and non-photographer alike. Join us on this journey through China, home to the richest breadth of culture anywhere.
